Program
It is with great pleasure that we present the program for Fjord Classics 2026. Under this year’s theme «Abraham» we follow the historical and cultural threads from our common forefather – a journey marked by fascination, exchange, and musical inspiration across borders.
This year we are joined by an outstanding group of world-class international musicians, including Chen Halevi, Karen Gomyo and Leonore Trio. We are particularly delighted that the renowned soprano Margrethe Fredheim this year returns home to Sandefjord. Our own chamber orchestra, Fjord Festival Strings, now consists of musicians holding leading positions in the Nordic region’s foremost orchestras, and this year will appear both as a full ensemble under the direction of Per Kristian Skalstad , and as soloists.
