Emilia Amper

Emilia Amper is one of Sweden’s most sought after folk musicians, Swedish and American Grammy nominee, Norwegian Grammy winner, Artist of the Year at the Swedish Folk & World Music Awards, World champion on the nyckelharpa, awarded National fiddler of the realm and winner of the Nordic Composer’s award the NPU Prize. She has toured all over Europe and in Brazil, China, India, Iran, USA, Canada, Namibia, Tunisia, Hongkong and the UAE, solo and with different Nordic folk/world music bands and as a soloist with classical orchestras. In this year’s festival she performs a lot of her own compositions and arrangements of Swedish traditional music, for nyckelharpa, voice and orchestra.
