Telemark Chamber Orchestra (TCO) is a professional string ensemble that was established in 1992. The orchestra is project based and engages musicians from the Oslo area as well as from Telemark, incljuding both freelance musicians and from established orchestras. The Norwegian violinist and conductor Lars-Erik ter Jung was instrumental in establishing the orchestra and has been artistic director from the start. From 2020 took conductor and violinist Per Kristian Skalstad over as artistic leader. TCO focuses on artistic quality and development through creative productions, working purposefully to establish itself as one of Norway´s leading orchestras.
The festival orchestra this year is a collaboration between TCO and Fjord Festival Strings.
