«Mid summer in Winter» – Launch Concert for the 2025-Festival
On 15th February at 18:00 we are launching our program for the summer festival with a concert at Sentralen in Oslo. We will perform some of the music that will be played at the festival and will present this year´s festival theme «Three Crowns» where Swedish music and musicians will be in focus.
This year´s orchestra will will be a collaboration between Fjord Festival Strings and Telemark Chamber Orchestra, a new partnership we´re looking forward to. The orchestra and several soloists will perform at this concert.

Bartok´s Viola Concerto from 2021
Here is the video recording of Bartok's viola concerto, in a new chamber orchestra version by Lars Anders Tomter. The performance was a world premiere of Tomter´s version, in which he plays the solo part. Fjord Festival Strings was conducted by Øyvind Bjorå. Tomter´s new version has since received much attention internationally, and is now performed regularly around the world.
